Visionary is a full medical optometry practice. Our services include basic eye exams, glaucoma testing, and general eye health screenings for long-term problems such as cataracts and macular degeneration. Should our patients require further care, our network of surgeons and specialists are at the ready. We go beyond routine eye care to provide our patients with a complete eye health evaluation.

• We are proficient at handling eye emergencies. If you are experiencing a problem, please contact us immediately. We will make every effort to see you as quickly as possible. We treat most eye health and vision conditions in office.

• We are experts in dry eye diagnosis and therapy, and introduced new state-of-the-art service, Envision by InMode (more below!).

• Our doctors can diagnose and manage eyelid disease onsite.

• We have decades of experience in monitoring patients for eye disease related to systemic conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

• Our staff is knowledgeable in pediatric and geriatric optometry concerns and treatments.

• Our reputation for our pre- and post-operative LASIK, PRK, and cataract surgery co-management with the Kraff Eye Institute is well known.

Training: A successful and thoughtful medical practice requires ongoing learning. Our skill sets and capabilities are continuously enriched with basic and advanced training. The more we learn, the better we serve you.

Our doctors participate in continuing medical education every year to hone their skills in the latest optometric advances and techniques. The American Board of Opticianry sets the professional criteria for opticians and offers proof of mastering the latest skills needed for practicing opticians. All of our opticians are either currently ABO certified or are working towards their certification.

EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM

In 2009, Visionary joined the extern program at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO), the largest and oldest school of optometry in the nation. Our doctors are teachers who seek to expand clinical knowledge and improve the diagnostic skills of the participating externs. Visionary gives students the chance to see how a real primary eye care practice works. They learn how to schedule and handle the patient flow, which is a real plus for the extern. As part of the Visionary family, you, our patients, are part of their learning experience too. Visionary welcomes a new extern every three months.
