Dr. Ryan Nguyen is a Southern California native who earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 2014. He went on to obtain his Doctorate in Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2018 where he completed his clinical training at Keller Army Hospital at West Point Military Academy, East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center with NYC Health, and the Southern Arizona VA in Tucson.
He completed his residency in primary eye care/cornea and contact lenses in 2019 at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida specializing in orthokeratology, scleral, corneal, and prosthetic lenses for various anterior segment disorders including keratoconus, dry eyes, and post-surgical corneas.
Dr. Ryan is proficient in both Spanish and Vietnamese and has had the opportunity to travel on humanitarian missions with VOSH and other organizations to Panama and Vietnam. He is a candidate for Fellowship with the Scleral Lens Education Society and the American Academy of Optometry.
